I worked with Derek in November and December of 2008 when I was trying to find a house to purchase.  I was living with friends at the time, and since living situation I was in was rather strained, I had to find a place to live fast.  At first I had thought that I would have to move into an apartment, but after I looked at my financial situation I realized that I might be able to buy a house.  Since I had worked with Keller Williams before, I called their office in Burleson and was told that Derek would be available help me.  It may have been the luck of the draw, but my luck seems to have been pretty good.  Derek went out of his way to make the path to home ownership as smooth as possible.  My goal was to be out of my friends’ house and into my own place in as short a time as possible, and he made that happen.  The entire process from meeting Derek to closing took less than 30 days.  My house is wonderful and I am enjoying it immensely.

 

One thing I want to add is that Derek is even available after the sale.  In late June-early July 2009, the DFW area began long string of days with temperatures over 100 degrees.  My A/C could not keep up and when I got home from work the house would be at 85 or 87 degrees.  I remembered that the seller had bought me a one year home warranty at closing, but I could not find any paperwork about it in my settlement documents.  I called Derek and within 10 minutes he had found the documentation and emailed it to me.  It turns out that I did indeed already have the document because he had sent it to me several days prior to closing.  I was just panicking and uncomfortably hot, I guess.  I contacted my warranty company, who referred me to a local HVAC company.  They sent a repairman out within 3 days and he fixed the problem in 20 minutes.  I now enjoy lovely cool temperatures no matter how much it is sweltering outside.  I truly appreciate Derek for taking the time to help me out to help me 7 months after the sale.
